I went to Julie for YEARS after going to literally every lash tech in Anchorage. I moved away a few years ago but I felt the need to leave a review because she is literally the best and I saw she has her own place! I drove from Wasilla to see her, and then I drove from Anchorage to see her, I cant drive from Juneau because flying cars aren't a thing yet (booo). She’s so good at a full natural look and is a genuinely good person. I miss you Julie!
I am a firm believer that when you find a doctor, his staff, and his office to go above and beyond your expectations, it needs to be shared so that others may benefit. And that’s what happened to me when I was seen by Dr. Fleckenstein at the Eagle River Vision Clinic. Not only was Dr. Fleckenstein thorough, kind, and brilliant, literally everyone in his office from the incredibly sweet, helpful, and professional Allissa who took my ‘frantic’ call, to the skilled technician that prepared me for my exam impressed me beyond words. Not to mention the clinic was absolutely immaculate. I’m so very grateful to have found an eye clinic like the Eagle River Vision Clinic!
Pete and the folks at Shields paving are outstanding to work with. Our driveway still looks great! They are coming back and reseal it for us this year. If you want prompt, professional and a fair priced business to deal with call them first. They are great folks!
A wonderful family educating our youth to better themselves physically, emotionally, and mentally!!! My boys developed the skills to compete and advanced to black belt and brown with black stripe. Now my daughter is attending and she is loving it. The confidence and strength she is building will serve her well throughout her life. I highly recommend Jay's. Nothing short of excellent. The past nine years, I've navigated far too many misdiagnoses, surgeries, physicians, and other "treatments" trying to fix my shabby hips. Jim Halfpenny has been the only consistently positive influence throughout my medical journey. He is remarkably intelligent, experienced, and knowledgeable in all things PT. He is one of the biggest reasons I have recovered so smoothly after my four surgeries. He even pointed out things my doctors missed or failed to warn me about. I am beyond grateful for everything Sonya and Dr. Halfpenny have helped me with. 100% recommend.
Eagle River Physical Therapy made me whole again. Chelsea, Elysia and Keri are the best at there crafts, so kind and considerate of your time and well being. Chelsea is my pt and is an amazing PT. Her ability to help me understand what she was going to have me do was the first hurdle I have struggled with other PTs in the past. She found a level that was comfortable for me to follow her lead and get better with strength and confidence. When I started I couldn’t bend forward or backwards without great pain. Now I have done a bike trip through Italy and hot yoga in California. Even as I graduated she gave me tips and tools to get stronger and better for trips my wife and I are planning (a two week 100 mile hike, I say walk, through Spain and a bike and hike trip in Greece). I never thought I would be able to do this stuff after my multiple injuries. Words cannot express how these amazing professionals can change your life if you give them a chance. Thank you all for what you gave me back.
I took my toddler son here as a walk in appointment. It was easy to get in and we did not have to wait very long. It was wonderful experience, the barber was so patient and detailed. It was definitely the best haircut he has ever had! We will be back!
Everyone at The Sword is very welcoming. The owner and head Coach, Chris, is the best in the state hands down. Many higher belts have been here for years. I'm very happy to have found my BJJ family here and my education here so far has been thorough and amazing. All the coaches here really care about their students on and off the mats. My water heater cracked early Friday morning and flooded my laundry room and hallway. Called Curtis Plumbing & Heating and Jeff was at my house within the hour. He gave us a diagnostic on my old water heater and suggested ways to keep costs down for a replacement. He came the next morning to install the new water heater promptly at 8 AM and now my family has hot water. Very grateful! Will be recommending to my contacts! ?
My family has used R&S in the past for boiler issues. They have always been responsive and professional. We recently had a pin hole leak in one of our pipes. R&S was prompt in scheduling us and getting a tech out to us to fix the issue. Jeremy, the tech who performed the work, set clear expectations of the damage he would have to create in our walls to access the pipes. He also went above and beyond by working well around our 9 children and explaining what he was doing to my interested 13 year old (almost as if Jeremy was providing an apprenticeship class for plumbing). I am very impressed with Jeremy's work; his interactions with my family; and the interest in handyman work he instilled in my son during the short time he was at our house.
Our 40 year old church, The Restoration Church, this last summer and fall had some major issues that needed attention badly. Since this summer of 2024 I have volunteered to managing the maintenance to our church structure on the hillside here in Anchorage. As a construction guy, I try to fix and repair all the building needs for the congregation. The building structure is 40 years old and needed attention from the past neglecting. All the lighting and electrical I found to be in dis-stress!
With all that said, I am so impressed with the crew and employees of 907 Electric. All my desperate calls were answered and the professionalism I witnessed was amazing. Everything I asked for was done with the best quality of optional products installed and with an accurate straight job completion. It looked great and then a nice clean up after they were done making a mess of things.
I want to say God bless this group of good people. Special thanks to Ryne, Everrett, Ingrid and Tina. I'll be calling on you again for sure.

We have been coming to Ravenwood Veterinary Clinic Since 2001. There was a time a few years ago when I thought the availability of care had declined. It seemed like appointments were hard to get into. But in more recent years we have been fortunate that we have only needed appointments for yearly visits, shots, teeth cleaning, ear infections and a couple times for lumps to be removed. The care we have had has be excellent. It is greatly appreciated. Megan Turnquist - Our dog Ani has had many ear infections, and this time when checked, Ani has a large clump of wax in one of her ears. Dr. Turnquist is trying her best to get that clump out without having to put Ani under to make it happen. I appreciate that immensely. Ani will be 12 in January, so I'm not wanting to have to do that. The care given, the time spent in the exam room, and explaining what the issue was, and how we could correct the problem. The Techs are awesome. Very helpful and caring.
