I had my first haircut today at Lava Hair Boutique and it was a wonderful experience (compared to the barbershops I’ve been going to since moving to Calgary 2 years ago). The salon is bright, well-appointed, clean and friendly. Reko gave me a real nice cut and was extremely meticulous and conscientious in her attempt to meet my expectations, which she far exceeded. Great visit and experience - I’ll definitely be back.
I cannot recommend Lava Hair and Abbie enough. I came in with a hair emergency and was incredibly nervous due to social anxiety and past bad experiences at other salons, but the team made me feel comfortable from the very first phone call.
They were so accommodating of my needs, offering me a beverage immediately and taking me to a private station with a curtain drawn so I didn’t feel 'on display' while they worked. I had significant matting in my long, fine hair, and they had three stylists jump in to help detangle everything quickly and with minimal pain.

The salon is very welcoming and super relaxing. Reko my stylist was AMAZING!! She definitely knows what she's doing! She did a great job blending my dark, blonde and grey mess, now it looks so gorgeous....I didn't think it was possible.
