Unfortunate level of service on the claims side with Aviva through Hagerty Insurance. Was side swiped causing $4500-5000 damage and have waited 10 weeks so far with nothing more than an acknowledgement of my claim by an adjuster.
I had estimates done myself and had Aviva's estimator promptly show to view for himself a week or so in, and then cricket. Countless emails, calls, voicemails and escalations attempts and have been absolutely forgotten about. Sad to see for a previously great company to work with.

My insurance rate more than tripled following a claim for minor cosmetic bumper damage from a snow and ice related accident.

Called my insurance provider to enquire and was told [Aviva, especially in Alberta has higher vehicle insurance rates. Cancel before renewal and find a find cheaper insurance elsewhere.]

I have been a customer with Aviva Canada for approximately six years, and I have generally stayed with the company because I expected consistent and fair service.

However, this year I have been very disappointed with the way my insurance was handled. I contacted Aviva to get a quote, but within only two days I was given three different prices for the same insurance. The prices kept changing, and I could not understand why there was such a significant difference.

Because of this experience and the way I was treated, I lost confidence in the company and decided to cancel my car insurance.
