This was a nice, relaxing experience, and a good break from the lakes and the hikes as well. The views are not exceptional, and the spring is not brilliant, but it's a well maintained facility.

Nice, but probably not a must-do.
The Banff Upper Hot Springs are worth checking out if you’re already in Banff, but overall we found the experience pretty average.
It was quite busy when we visited, with lots of other groups around. There was quite a bit of noise and people often crowded around the steps, which made it harder to properly relax and enjoy the experience.
The pool itself is also more like a hot swimming pool with a nice mountain backdrop than what we’d describe as a true thermal springs experience. If you’re expecting something more natural, peaceful or unique, you might come away a little underwhelmed.
That said, the mountain views are great… read full review
The good: Great view of the Rocky Mountains and beautiful pool. The Bad: Sicko pervert youngish males taking cell phone pictures of bikini clad females in the pool too including my daughter then showing each other the phone pics. A different dad had the same problem with his daughters too. Last time here, same issues. Hygiene and camera pervert issues. Worse since last time on both counts. Additionally, disgusting people who like to wear underwear in the hot spring as if doing their laundry there. They try to hide it under their swim shorts, but it's often obvious. Can't go here anymore. Everyone sees it; everyone knows its happening; everyone knows who's responsible… read full review
