“My experience with Ellsworth Music has been wonderful. I was diagnosed with thymoma in February 2021 and had to be treated at John Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Md. with chemo and radiation. I then had to retire. While all this was going on my husband asked me what 2 things I would like to do now since I am retired. I said I wanted to learn how to swim and play the piano. I tried swimming but just could not master getting my head in the water. Oh well, I did try. My second choice was piano lessons. My husband visited Ellsworth Music and bought home one of the brochures. After I was released from John Hopkins I decided to check it out. I am so glad I did. Pat, my instructor is simply great. He's old like me and we get along great. Some days I get upset because I'm not playing like Beethoven but Pat says, "just stick with it. And all we have is time". Playing the piano has been therapy for me especially on the days when I just don't feel good.“
