The Salon owner Kelly treated my daughter with the most disrespect. My 16-year-old has never had her hair done before and was trying to schedule an appointment and Kelly treated her so disgustingly and canceled her appointment simply because she didn’t want to explain to my daughter what a consultation was and why she would need one. We live far away so my daughter said she didn’t need a consultation and would bring her own hair. Instead Of being professional and kind, and explaining what a consultation was and why it was needed to my daughter, she instead made her feel stupid and then made her cry by canceling her appt with no explanation. When I called to figure out what was going on Kelly over talked me, instantly got loud with me and was rude, hanging up on me and blocked me. There was no communication, I have no idea what a consultation is or anything to do with a quick weave or styles like that so I had no idea what was needed and instead of explaining it to me or my daughter Kelly decided to be as rude as possible and make a child cry. My daughter had saved up for months from her job to be able to get her own hair done just to be treated like absolute trash by this “salon” owner. Absolutely disgusting behavior and I Will never understand why young black girls cannot get their hair done at a salon Without being disrespected and treated like absolute trash. I would never take my child here to someone like Kelly. After reading other reviews clearly I’m not the only person that this Kelly person has hung up on and been absolutely rude to you. I’ve even spoken to people who went to high school with her and they said she treated people disgusting in high school as well so I guess mean girls really never grow out of it. These texts show that the very first message Kelly sends my daughter is “so I guess you’re bringing your ow hair since you didn’t schedule a consultation”… Who talks to potential customers like that? My daughter then explains politely that she is bringing her own hair and she does not need a consultation to then Kelly tells her that she’s gonna need to go somewhere else and she’s gonna cancel her appointment. Instead of explaining to my daughter, why she needs a consultation or working with her to explain that she can do a consultation the same day as her hair appointment she just canceled her appointment and dismisses her like she’s nothing. Disgusting behavior.

Do not go to Kelly Clark from hey girl hair, or even bother texting the women. I didn’t even get the chance to hear the voice of these people before they denied me service. Literally just wanted a quick weave for prom 😭 hey girl hair lacks basic human communication, atleast some of their employees. Don’t waste your time

Kelly is absolutely wonderful! This was my first time going to the salon and it was a great experience. My hair has never looked better.

This was my first time with Kelly, but it definintly wont be my last! It was such a pleasant experience and Kelly is very funny! Love it! :)

I don’t usually write reviews but I feel the need to share my last experience at this salon.
While at an appointment to get my hair dye touched up, the stylist suggested a texturizer. At the same appointment! She was aware that for several years I’d worn my natural hair, and assured me it was nothing like a relaxer. I trusted her as a professional and agreed. By the end of the appointment after first applying the texturizer and then the hair dye, my scalp felt like it was on fire and my hair was horribly damaged. The length that had taken me years to obtain and retain began crumbling in my hands that day and several days following.
It has been a long journey to get my hair healthy again, it’s literally taken years. I understand mistakes happen but if she didn’t know any better, she should not have been applying chemicals to hair at all and if she did know better, she should not have suggested doing so without disclosing potential consequences. Either way it was an irresponsible, inconsiderate, and completely avoidable incident.

If you’re on the fence about trying this salon, my advice would be to reconsider.

Kelly Clark is an amazing! My fine mop of wispy curl is behaving so much better after she worked her magic, and her self-produced Curl Cream is wonderful. She began with a warm welcome and quickly got to work taming my fuzz and in short order brought my curls back to life.

I quickly made a second appointment for color (salt is sneaking in here and there) but I was so indecisive that she suggested I wait rather than pay for something I wouldn’t like. We settled on a rinse for light coverage while I explore some other colors through temp wash out wax. The whole time she was concerned only with me and my feelings, not her time nor her pocket. Impressive, and refreshing.

Her salon environment is also definitely worth mentioning; a place of warmth, inspiration and beauty that mirrors its creator. Kelly’s comfortable furniture, soothing music, inspiring words tucked here and there and everywhere and creative collages and art is a treat to the senses which makes you want to stay and read a book and forget about the busy city street below.

I highly recommend Kelly and her services to everyone, and those of you with curls- do not forget about that Curl Cream, for it is Divine! So if you are reading reviews in order to find a great stylist then look no further than. Simply give her a call and book your appointment today!

Excellent service and my hair looks amazing after every appointment. If you need to get your hair done, go here. She is honest about what works for your hair and is gentle in the execution of styles. Lastly, the hairstyle I got received many positive comments on it.

Oh Kelly is a ray of beautiful sunshine and a warm hug on a cold day. I enjoy my time in her chair each and every visit. Plus, I trust her with my curls…which is a huge deal for naturally curly folk like me.
