I am writing this review from my own personal experience as a grieving daughter.
My father, passed away on April 14, 2026, and was buried at Restlawn Memorial Park on April 25, 2026. Only days later, I placed flowers on his grave as one of the first small ways I could still honor him after laying him to rest.
On May 4, I learned the flowers had been removed by the cemetery caretakers. A Restlawn representative left me a voicemail saying removed flowers would be placed in the bin behind the shop. I went there that same day, within hours, to retrieve my father’s flowers. They were gone. I checked again afterward, and they have never been found.

My family and I cannot say enough good things about Rest Lawn. The staff here has been nothing short of incredible during one of the hardest times of our lives. Eva, in particular, has shown our family so much kindness, patience, and genuine compassion — especially toward my 90-year-old grandpa who lost his wife of 66 years. She always makes us feel welcomed, supported, and cared for. Heather has also been so warm and welcoming every time we visit, and her kindness never goes unnoticed. We had an unexpected death due to complications during a hospital stay - without local burial plots. Our family had plots in Chicago's Queen of Heaven Cemetery, but Wausau has been home for a long time. The reality of burying a loved one so far from immediate family and close friends stared at us in the face.
We quickly decided to stay local, but our visits to other local faith-based cemeteries left us disappointed as they were so overcrowded. One visit to and a glance at Restlawn was all it took.
