This particular Petco has much better fish husbandry than the adjacent Petsmart. The platys I have bought from here are very hardy in comparison to Ace Hardware (though Ace Hardware has better fish in general, their platy source seems to be particularly fragile). The cashiers are personable and responsive. Only thing they could do better is faster removal of dead fish (Petsmart had many more dead fish and terribly neglected bettas, whereas this Petco has some of the bettas in normal size tanks, which is kind, plus the cup bettas are in better condition).
I have fish, birds and cats. Lots of variety. Love the Petco refillable cat litter. Great litter at a great price. They also have the new non-clay litters for sale at a good price. Great to mix in with clay little. My only complaint is I wish there were more items for large birds. And I wish you had more small birds for sale. Always stop by the cats for adoption.
Enjoyed my visit. Staff was so helpful. I have a 3 yo, 3lb.full grown teacup yorkie. She’s a picky eater. I have tried multiple brands and even home cooked; she picked around. The staff was so helpful in guiding me thru different foods to try. We are now working on a variety of foods. Thank you for the suggestions and helping me/her.
