I’ve been in physical therapy 5 separate times (dang, sports), but this was my first time needing PT after moving to a different state. I was nervous going to a new location and company but I’m so grateful Athletico in Waukesha was recommended to me! I was sad I got better because I honestly enjoyed getting to see and talk to the staff every week. Mel is a joy to talk to, and Dr. Dani and Tara helped me so much with my specific PT plan and exercises. Everyone was so welcoming and caring. It has been over 6 months since my last session with Dr Eric schmitz. Although I haven't been doing all of the PT exercises I'm supposed to be doing, my close work with Dr Eric taught me about the extent of my injury and how the human back functions. he showed and helped me to understand, provided me with the tools I need to manage my severe lower back injury. In 2021 I had four disc herniations, L2 to L5,into my spinal column that severely impacted my quality of life and my family's well-being for the past 5 years. in addition I have apparently had spondylolisthesis for 30 years or more, since childhood or high school football or the military. . . who knows. I started coming to Athletico for some dry needling with Dani and that was fantastic. Turned out I also needed hip surgery and have been doing physical therapy with Dani as well, she's been absolutely amazing with helping me rehab and recover. She's very nice and knowledgeable, and does a great job working with me and keeping me on track with my progress. Everyone who works there are very kind and helpful I would definitely recommend. Thanks Dani and staff!
