Very poor customer service. Unwilling to accommodate for my work schedule; would not tell me what time they were coming until 5 p.m. the night before. No advanced notice and no way to reserve a schedule outside of 1st shift hours (8-3). Blamed the customer instead of finding solutions to problems.

I had them install radiator thermostats on my second floor and they did a good job, but it wasn't cheap. It's always a challenge working on a 1920's heating system and I would definitely trust them to do more work in the future. Scheduling and communication was very easy, they are very responsive and came right back to fix a small problem with a defective part.

These guys are my heros. Always have been. Always will be. Iron Fireman or Unique Indoor Comfort as they are now called, are the guys I have called for over 15 years to solve all my heating and cooling issues in Milwaukee. It doesn't matter when I call or what the problem is- the competent people who answer the phone take down my issue and promptly send a repairman to the rescue. I started my love affair with them back in 1992 when I needed to convert a duplex I owned from oil heat (one furnace) to gas heat (dual furnaces) and to add central air conditioning.. Not a simple task when new duct work needs to be added and in old houses there is always something that comes up. But they did it. On time. And on budget which was most appreciated. Since that first visit, they are my "go to" guys for no matter what ails any of my heating systems in my buildings- be they forced air or steam or hot water heat (lucky me- each of my buildings has a different type of heat!) The beauty of this relationship is that they help me manage heating woes from afar. Since I no longer live in Wisconsin, when tenants call and say they have no heat- I need someone who can get there pronto and know the ins and outs of that system without me being there or demanding payment upfront. Unique Indoor Comfort does it and for a price I am willing to pay. They do it all- new heating systems, cooling systems, annual maintenance, emergency repairs- I've used them for all of this and I find their people to be very helpful and thorough. And when I do meet them for a new project? They also run ON TIME! A must in my book! A hint? When they are there to fix one thing or to do an annual checkup- they will tell you about some things that also need to be fixed. When you schedule those extra repairs be sure to reference the old job number or you will get charged an additional $75 service call fee. Sometimes they catch it- other times not. Heating and Cooling isn't the sexiest thing out there to write about. But if you are looking for reliable service from a company that consistently stands behind it's work- call Iron Fireman (Unique Indoor Comfort). I love these guys!
