I have had the pleasure of working with Orley Shabahang for years through my interior design business. The selection of carpets, both traditional and contemporary, is outstanding and their care of their customers is superb.They are a truly unique business.
About a year and a half ago I happened to walk in to the store on Water Street. I knew I wanted to make my first rug purchase but didn't know much else beyond that. My thoughts on size, color, and style were gently guided for the perfect fit. Today I was so excited to return to make my second purchase after loving the heck out of the first rug. I couldn't be more pleased and am so grateful to have walked in so many months ago.
I am so pleased with the antique Bakhtiari carpets I recently purchased at Orley Shabahang! The soft, warm colors are the perfect complement to the furnishings in my home. At Orley Shabahang I felt like a valued customer. Everyone who helped me was kind, professional, and eager to share their expertise. Bahram, the business owner, took the time to explain the significance of the botanical motifs in my rugs. He also described the creative genius of the women weavers whose extraordinary technical knowledge and imaginative use of color and design is second to none.
