    I ordered over $60 of dahlia tubers with granddaughter in December for her birthday. They arrived fine and I followed the directions and planted them in pots for her. The printed directions on the plastic bag they came in said to plant 1-2 inches deep. I did that and some didn’t come up and others came up with weak stems. I thought they should be planted 5-6 inches deep, but I followed directions they provided. I called and was told I would have to wait till late summer bloom time to resolve issue. The few stems that came up can not stand up with a gentle breeze and certainly will not be able to support flowers. I was not happy about their response and my granddaughter will be disappointed. I will not be ordering from them again. I never got an explanation on why the directions say plant 1-2 inches deep.

    I am extremely disappointed with Holland Bulb Farms’ handling of my recent order.

    When I placed my order, the website clearly stated that potted plants would ship within 1–3 business days. After several days passed without any shipment notification, I contacted customer service for an update. I was then told they were experiencing processing delays due to technical issues and high order volumes, and that potted plant orders were actually taking 1–2 weeks to ship.

    What is most frustrating is that the company acknowledged they are currently unable to meet the advertised 1–3 day shipping timeframe, yet admitted they have no plans to update the website because the situation is considered “temporary.” Customers are continuing to place orders based on shipping estimates that the company knows are inaccurate.

    I purchased these plants as a birthday gift, relying on the shipping information provided. Had the website reflected the actual processing times, I would have ordered elsewhere. This feels misleading and dishonest, especially since delayed shipping appears to be a recurring issue rather than an isolated incident.

    Customer service was polite, but that does not excuse advertising shipping timelines that the company knows it cannot meet. Transparency matters. If shipping is taking 1–2 weeks, customers deserve to know that before placing an order, not after they have already paid.

    I cannot recommend Holland Bulb Farms based on this experience.

    Poor customer service and shipping weeks after indicated. None of the berry plants grew and only 1 of 10 strawberry slips grew. Don't waste your money!!!

    Placed order through their website. On delivery, one plant root was missing. Based on some reviews, I was worried, but contacted customer service. No questions asked. They very quickly resolved the problem with replacement. Excellent service!

    Ordered black columbine and got pink, I hate pink. Neither of my blue tad lilies came up. I made a complaint and zero response. Pink... ordered black

    First order lost. Reordered. Second order missing part of order and remaining arrived dead. Have attempted to contact Holland and they do not answer their phone. Left message. Still waiting. Have contacted credit card company. Holland appears to be a fraud. Be careful when ordering from them. I will not recommend this company

    Ordered cascading begonias from Holland Farms. My order was on time and complete. Unfortunately only 3 of the 5 bulbs sprouted. I am happy with the 3 that did sprout and are growing quite nicely! I will definitely order more from Holland Farms after I find space to hang my planters!

    I ordered these beautiful blue and white striped squill in January and planted them just days after they arrived. I did note a dusting of mold on a number of them, so I considered that the fee for getting them on clearance. So far, probably 10 have popped up out of 100 and two have bloomed (it’s April). They are really pretty (stunted this time around due to the timing of the planting), and I hope they’ll be even better next year. They are beautiful and whimsical with a light fragrance and I hope to naturalize the area with them in time.

    I love the flowers I get from Holland Bulbs. My last order of Begonias came with 3 healthy looking rhizomes. Only 2 are doing really good and 1 hasn't even sprouted yet. But, that may be my fault? The 2 that are growing are beautiful!! ❤️

    Love Holland Bulb Farms! Have always had good luck with their bulbs. All of the ones I planted this past fall sprouted and bloom far more vibrant than I imagined. Their customer service is great too. Can't go wrong with them!
