About WisCARES
WisCARES is a veterinary and social service clinic in Madison dedicated to providing free and subsidized care for pets belonging to people experiencing homelessness or low income. The clinic operates by appointment on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays for general care, with surgeries scheduled for Thursdays. Appointments are booked no more than two days in advance and typically last around two hours. As a teaching facility, services are provided by veterinary students supervised by licensed veterinarians. Due to COVID-19 precautions, clients are asked to wait in their cars or at a designated picnic table outside the building. WisCARES has received praise for its warm and welcoming atmosphere. Dr. Shultz and All the Staff at WisCares are the most Caring, Wonderful, Kind-hearted People I know. They are Filled with Driving Compassion for Thier work, The Animals and The People. They listen to Your Concerns and Work with You to have the Absolute Best outcome for Our Fur Babies. Amazing to say The least. I've had the Honor and pleasure to have had My Dogs be in Thier care. without WisCares, My Babies would not made it as far as they did .
