I was in town for other business and just happened to choose Wayne's on a Google search. Glad I did as it was a terrific experience. There was no wait, hair was cut the way I wanted, and everything had a hometown feel to it.
Also, if you're a Badger football fan, this is a hidden gem! The artwork is OUTSTANDING!
Randy and his son who is a veteran are great people and even better barbers and Waynes barbershop is still excellent after all these years. By the way the name Wayne's comes from Randy's dad who was a great guy and a great barber also.
I have noticed several comments with people being irritated because they are not facing the mirror. One comment asked, "What's the mirror for then?" Let me answer that. The mirror behind the barber chair in connection with the back bar is a barber "tool," no different than shears, clippers, or the barber chair. It is used by the barber to get a perspective on the haircut from the back of the patron's head. It is easier to tell if the nape area is even when the barber looks back into the mirror, rather than trying to tell from just looking directly at the back up close.
