Maggie contracted pneumonia and we realized it might be something she wouldn't survive. However, we were still overcome when we realized that when we were thinking we were there to pick her up for a night home to say goodbye before taking her to her own primary vet that instead this was the end. They were all great, but given our circumstance, names escape me.
Our girl had a very serious health issue and after consultation and a few buckets of tears, we were able to make the best decision for our pet and euthanize. The staff was kind, compassionate, and professional.
After a previous emergency I had with my cat and I went to a different emergency vet and had a negative experience, I always told myself if I have another emergency, I’m going to the UW. Im so glad I did this time. Dr. Pederson and the tech were so flexible and accommodating with my cats needs during the visit. They purposefully never did anything to stress him out, and that meant so much to me because of my previous experience elsewhere. They made myself and my cat feel so comfortable.
