“I have noticed several comments with people being irritated because they are not facing the mirror. One comment asked, "What's the mirror for then?" Let me answer that. The mirror behind the barber chair in connection with the back bar is a barber "tool," no different than shears, clippers, or the barber chair. It is used by the barber to get a perspective on the haircut from the back of the patron's head. It is easier to tell if the nape area is even when the barber looks back into the mirror, rather than trying to tell from just looking directly at the back up close. Most shops will have other mirrors in the shop for patrons and typically offer a hand mirror when the haircut is completed. As a barber of fifty years myself, this is the answer to those who are wondering why they are not turned toward it. By contrast, beauty salons are used to turning their patrons toward the mirrors, because longer hair usually does not need the same perspective from the back. So it's obvious these comments are from men brought up going to beauty salons.“

“Two days before my wedding I realized I did not trust myself to make my beard look right. I decided to try out Regent Cuts and am so happy I did. I walked in and vaguely told the barber that I wanted the beard a similar length but to be cleaned up, and he delivered (without a ton of help from me!). Usually barbers who line my beard up go a bit too low and it borders on a chinstrap look but he did an amazing job of not taking too much off but lining it up nicely. He also did the no-guard buzz of my hair perfectly. I only wish I remembered my barber's name so I could give him a shoutout on here, but I very highly recommend this shop.“

“Today, I had my first appointment at this salon with Dean after impulsively chopping a few inches of my hair off with a pair of kitchen scissors. I initially went in for a trim because my split ends were getting crazy (from the kitchen scissors), and he went above and beyond. My hair has always been a hassle since it’s super frizzy and untamable, but after my appointment I don’t think I’ve ever loved my hair so much as I do now. I walked out feeling like a new person and so beautiful. The salon itself is old fashioned, and the atmosphere is super relaxing since there is no loud, annoying TV blasting in the background like many salons have.
