Bachmann Construction: The bad: They substituted materials without permission, were not able to produce an accurate detailed bill, charged the condo association $50k over the contracted amount, and violated trust and contractual obligation by doing thousands of dollars of 'additional billable work' without having a change order. Bachmann made out with the money potentially due to bad legal advice to the condo association. They had to come back and repair their original work that they did poorly. Phenomenal team to work with. A special thanks to Chris Quant for putting up with me as I built my first brick and mortar business. I received bids from 5 contractors for my project, Float Madison, and I had a feeling that Bachmann would be the best fit for the job. They assembled a fantastic team of subs whom were are great to work with and did a superb job. They were quick to answer questions as they came along both during construction and afterwards.
