I’ve been with my therapist Katrina for over a year now and I absolutely adore her approach with me. She offers plenty of feedback and understanding. She does more than just listen to you. I’m part of the LGBTQ community and she’s always been supportive and nonjudgmental. The office here is really understanding as long as you make sure to give 24 hours notice. They send text to remind you of upcoming appointments which have more than once helped with my forgetfulness. I highly recommend this team.
I used to do counseling here before some events took place in my life and I moved, which included moving to a completely different counselor. When coming here, my counselor was Katie Hepner. I absolutely loved her after getting to know her. I've always been anxious when it came to counselors/therapists because my anxiety always kinda made me think that information was going to be getting back to my parents, somehow. Now that I am back home, and almost an adult, I'm trying to make choices for myself that will continue to help me moving forward. I miss Katie Hepner a lot and I miss talking to her. As a clinician, I only recommend counselors who I know personally and trust to take care of my clients with the same quality of care that I hold myself to. When looking for a counselor, you want to find someone who is not only skilled in their practice, but authentic - look no further! Lakes Counseling Center is run by Katie Hepner, a clinician who I highly recommend when referring clients. Knowing Katie's character and approach, I know that's she's well equipped to help clients with her experience and expertise.
