This is not my primary vet, but I’m considering switching. I’ve taken all my cats here at some point or another. The vets are outstanding, the communication is amazing — and the care plan they put together is phenomenal. My cat had to stay here 6 days and 5 nights and they took amazing care of him. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable when it comes to caring for your animals. I would recommend this vet to anyone in need of care for their pets. Thank you to the amazing staff for helping us in a time of need.

They got our cat in next day. Treated him and was a fair price for his medicine. Our Orange tabby has sensitive skin and gets cat Psoriasis. He had a bad bout and the people here got him feeling good with the zoomie and main character energy.

I wish we would of started going to this hospital right from the beginning when my dog got sick. The staff is amazing, they really care and there prices are reasonable. The hospital we were going to in Hudson charged us $82 for a bag of sub q fluids (which my dog needed everyday) and Oakwood hospital charged us $23 and we weren't even going there at the time. We ended up having to put our dog down and so thankful we went to this hospital. Don't waste time anywhere else this is the place to go! Thank you Dr Ottman for your care and love for animals and how you were there for us when we had to make one of the hardest decisions!

Had my dog there for his annual physical and as we wrapped up get told that we needed to set an appointment to test his blood related to his seizure medication. They had just drawn blood for a different issue and said they couldn't do it because they needed a tech. This is ridiculous service and seemed like an excuse to charge another doctor visit. Not to mention we had just discussed the topic at his brother's appointment 1 month prior. Highly unethical if you ask me.

This past Sunday, I had to rush my dog to Oakwood Hills Animal Hospital after she suddenly began struggling to walk. She was in significant pain, woke up shaking, and had a fever of 103.5. Within an hour of calling, we were seen by Dr. Wehr, who conducted a thorough examination, ran a full blood panel, and carefully reviewed my dog’s medical history with me. My dog has a very rare form of cancer, and in addition to prescribing pain medication, Dr. Wehr offered to contact my dog’s oncology team at the University of Minnesota. She also continued to check in on my dog even after we had left the office that day.

Unfortunately, when I returned home from work on Monday, my dog’s condition had worsened, and she was almost completely unable to walk. I immediately called Oakwood Hills Animal Hospital around 6:30 p.m., and within minutes I was speaking with a veterinarian. Dr. Meyer listened attentively as I explained my dog’s complex cancer history and her current symptoms. Together, we reviewed her lab work and decided to add a Lyme disease antibiotic and an anti-inflammatory to her treatment plan. I was reassured to drive safely and told that the staff would stay a few minutes late if needed so I could pick up her medications. Within a few hours of administering the new medications—along with the pain medication prescribed the day before—my dog was able to walk again. Today, she is prancing around completely pain-free.

I am incredibly impressed with the compassion, communication, and level of care we received on both Sunday and Monday. Waldenström’s macroglobulinemia is a rare form of lymphoma that is scarcely documented in veterinary medicine, making medication alterations particularly challenging. Despite this, the veterinarians at Oakwood Hills Animal Hospital rose to the challenge. Through their knowledge, intuition, and dedication to finding a solution, they were able to restore Angel’s mobility and comfort. My family is forever grateful for their exceptional care.

Our poor sweet Kevin Kitty got a nasty cut on his belly playing outside. He went in for surgery today and is healing nicely, Thanks to the awesome team at Oakwood Hills Animal Hospital. Highly recommend them. They took the time to care for our baby and helped him out financially too. Couldn't have done it without them. Thank you

On Sunday my family and I said goodbye to our beloved family pet Bingo. I called Oakwood Hills looking for prices and Olivia in reception picked up. She was so kind and took her time explaining the different types of cremation the clinic offered, she even talked to my son who had lots of questions. We didn’t end up using Oakwood Hills but in my family’s time of sorrow we got a so much compassion from a total stranger.
