I got a few old home videos digitized the quality was great! Tom was friendly and kept me informed about everything. Would definition recommend if you have old vhs tapes you want to keep.
I found Tom and VisualTronics as a local option for digitizing my family's VHS home movies from the 1990s.
Before finding VisualTronics, I used one of the large online digitization companies for an earlier batch of tapes. Unfortunately, the results were disappointing. Many videos included VCR system messages, started with a blue screen, suffered from tracking issues, and some 2 hour video files contained only 20 minutes of actual footage.
I also considered doing the transfers myself, but I lack the equipment, skills/experience, or the time to do it properly.

I had Tom transfer all of my old camcorder tapes to digital for me and my family. It was truly a wonderful moment to be able to share those and give them each their own thumb drive. I used Tom a second time to transfer an old VHS cassette to digital, and that was very emotional to share with the family on that particular tape due to previous deaths. I am contacting Tom again to transfer some 8mm reels! Very fast, friendly service.
