Tacoma is so lucky to have Dr. Woon as an acupuncturist. I saw 10 doctors and specialists last year trying to figure out where my chronic pain was coming from, and the only person who took the time to really look at everything from a whole body perspective was Dr. Woon. In the very first visit he picked up on what it was potentially coming from, and he helped treat the pain so I could have somewhat of a normal life while I continued to see other specialists to diagnose it. Just a couple months in we got it confirmed and then he helped support me through the pains of our medical system and making sure I was able to advocate for what I needed. 10 months later I am pain free and back to doing everything I love. I tell everyone to go here, as a woman I try and see only women doctors but Dr. Woon is the exception! He is so smart, kind, and devoted to his practice.

Dr. Woon is so much more than a chiropractor. Her approach is quite unique and she is incredibly knowledgeable in several facets of healing the body, and has brought me great relief.

Initially, chiropractic care here was great. I really felt like Dr. Woon cared about me. Then, my insurance changed and it wasn't as good. That was not my fault...my employer selected a cheaper plan. She complained that there were several times in the previous year (times she never told me about) that my insurance hadn't paid at all. I offered to pre-pay in advance with cash, but that was not sufficient. Then, even though I had an appointment the next day (after a decade of treating me), Dr. Woon left a message on my voice mail telling me that I should find a new chiropractor. Apparently I didn't even merit in person conversation. I was really hurt, as I thought that I was more than just a number. I have since found a really great chiropractor and I'm very happy with the switch, but I'll always be hurt by the way that Dr. Woon terminated the patient doctor relationship with me.

I was looking forward to this appointment based on the reviews here and the attitude of the staff when i called for an appointment last month. I gave specific instructions on how to book an ASL interpreter for my appointment (i gave them a website address. All they had to do was enter the date and time of my appointment, and the agency would look for someone available for that date and time.) i was reassured everything would be set up. I was thanked for the information i gave on how to find an interpreter. I felt confident about my appointment going smoothly. I called this morning to make sure everything was set up for my appointment this Thursday. I was told they called and called, couldn't find an interpreter. I never gave them a phone number, i gave them a website to do everything online, and don't appreciate them trying to cover up the fact they didn't look for an interpreter. Honesty is important, and this place is lacking.
