I've been taking lessons with Steven for a few months now, as well as playing under his direction with a larger community orcherstra. He is an excellent teacher and it is so evident how committed he is to helping his students and orchestra members (of any age) learn and grow. I've been having a great time learning to play the cello largely thanks to Steven. His instruction has helped boost my skills and confidence and has fully earned his spot as one of my favorite teacher/conductors!
Steven is am amazing teacher! I'm an adult and it was always a dream of mine to learn how to play piano. My husband gifted me piano lessons for my birthday and he could not have picked a better teacher. Steven is very talented on many instruments. He is professional but also approachable and kind. He explains music in a way that is easy to understand, and if I ever had an issue with a certain measure or concept he would find another way to explain it that would make sense. He gave me multiple different tools for practicing and improving my skill. Steven was always encouraging and never gave up on me, even if I sometimes gave up on myself! Fantastic teacher. I'm an adult player who stopped playing the violin after middle school and 7 years later I wanted to relearn how to play and steven has helped me tremendously. Highly recommend
