I was on a flight with Dr. Smurro and while running up an escalator (bc my flight had started boarding and I wasn't there), I fell hard on my knee, causing a large gash that was quite frightening to my non-medical eye. I just happened to be sitting next to Dr. Nick on the plane and seeing that I was in pain, he asked if I was ok and told me he was a doctor and could look at it if I wanted. His kindness and tenderness while remaining so steadfast in stopping the bleeding was all the reassurance I needed. He is no doubt an incredible doctor and kind soul. If I ever go back to Seattle I will definitely go by his office!
