Mr. James Jones is to be commended for his hard work on our family’s probate case! Very unfortunate James hires people like Angela to be the mouth of the firm. Angela Cook at Sound Law. In my opinion, she seems more focused on defending clients regardless of their actions rather than seeking justice. I felt that ethical considerations were not a priority in my case, and this left me questioning her moral compass as a legal professional. If you are looking for a lawyer who prioritizes fairness and integrity, I would recommend exploring other options.

Very disappointed with Angela Cook the "Legal Assistant"; poor attitude, poor communication, and a tone of entitlement in her voice when asking for any clarification about their services or lack of communication. Emails go for a week without a response and their receptionist is frequently gone during regular business hours sending you through to voicemail. James was great to work with; very knowledgeable, and straightforward. The office staff and assistant are why they get 1 star. I went to James because my mother used him for her estate, but for probate or anything other than drafting a simple document I would look elsewhere. It seems like they don't have the time of day for their "clients". I believe we were also overcharged in a deceptive manner. We were told that because of the life insurance policy that we would likely need probate instead of a small estate affidavit and we found out months later that the life insurance fall outside of probate and we dealt with MetLife separately.

My first review was due to a miss understanding and an inclusion of document that had the wrong wording in it. It took awhile for me to get my wording entered into the will that way I wanted it. But, once we got on the same page everything was fine.
