We have used Hammond Knoll to clean and repair our good wool rugs for the past 10 years. The repairs are seamless, you would never know there had been wear and tear. The rugs come back bright and clean. The fringe needed replacement in one area and it is seamless. On the large rugs they provide wonderful service to Olympia from Tacoma. The pricing is reasonable and they are careful with the rugs that are dyed from overseas or are very old.
I used Hammond Knoll to do the binding on a custom runner for my home. While a bit on the pricy side (especially if you want a wide ribbon binding), their customer service and product were fantastic. I was working with a very tight timeline and everyone in the shop was amazing at helping me to make that possible.
No complaints > just superlatives. In regard to oriental rug cleaning > the service was solid. Well done! The front line staff were exceptional. Warm greeting, respectful and knowledgeable about oriental rug making and repair. The cost of the service was very reasonable in my opinion.
