I haven’t been to the dentist in 10 years. It’s far too expensive and you tend to forget to really make those care appointments until it’s necessary. Well, I’m pregnant so it is now 100% necessary for me to make sure everything is ok. I knew my gums needed some love but I was pretty anxious going in.
This was the most comforting and informative dental appointment I’ve ever had and they made me feel confident in taking control of my oral health. I go in for a deep cleaning in a couple weeks and I can express how excited I am. I walked into this appointment fearful and embarrassed and walked out, excited and relieved. Best dentist/dental visit/office ever!!!! I have horrible anxiety about the dentist. Just get ng on the door takes a lot out of me. I am usually crying by the time I sit down. (I do not take anxiety meds.because they make everything worse for me.) The dentist was so kind, sensitive, and patient. He had a good sense of humor, too. The whole office is reflective of the dentist's bedside manner. Best experience!! I still have horrible anxiety, but I know that when I go back I will be treated with compassion.

I went way too long without a regular dentist, but started going to Defiance Dental Studio after moving to Tacoma and have had a great experience. My previous dentist always felt a bit…sales-y. Like every visit came with a new “recommended” procedure. Defiance is the opposite. They take the time to explain what’s going on and actually show you any issues.
The view of Commencement Bay during appointments is a nice bonus.
They’re also easy to schedule with, even last minute. Street parking can be a little tight, but it’s usually fine. You’ll make it.
