I brought my cat here as the old vet used to see her. I was not happy with how they treated my cat. She had what I thought was blood in her urine. The vet said she needed to stay there for a couple hours. So I went to work, had not received any phone calls, I had called 3 times, the first time they said she was still waiting (this was a few hours after I dropped her off). I called again about 30 minutes before they closed, and said I could come get her.
Once I got there, they said she had peed on herself, and that I should give her a bath when I get home. I would expect, if my cat had an accident they would cleaned her up a bit. My family was also very upset with her visit there. They had left a bad and was quick to call about a bad review but weeks went by and I did not receive any call or email about her urine results.
I will not be going here again, as it was over 600 dollars for a urine & blood test. I pay way less than that for my exotic pets elsewhere. Read the Yelp reviews.
I will not be removing this review this time.

We take both our cats here and the staff always make each visit so easy and stress free! They definitely take a fear-free approach with all animals and meet the lil critters where they are at. We can always rely on their care and attention to detail, and we know they view our furry family as more than just a file or a number.

i agree with the comment below this place is TRASH. VET old man pushing 80 is SO rude instead of explaining nicely he gives attitude so ridiculous to work in this field and be so arrogant. should not be over 800 bucks to get a few months old cat spayed😹😹 don’t go somewhere else RUN SOMEWHERE ELSE , RUN AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!😹

Do not come here. Had a more than unpleasant experience. I was met with attitude and condescending behavior when I forgot to mention my cat threw up the morning I brought her in. Very condescending vet and vet tech Alicia did not ask but practically demanded my cat needed all these tests when it turns out it was just a stomach ache. Felt like a money grab- I still spent the $550 for a few small tests and nausea meds but I felt taken advantage of and will not be coming back. If you want to feel comfortable or at peace knowing your animal is in safe hands I would not recommend this place. The anxiety I felt while being here was not worth it.

I called for availability on euthanizing my 21yr old cat, whose health started declining over the weekend, and back legs were giving out, and I had the misfortune of speaking with Jessica Dransfield. After hearing the situation, she asked several times for prior vet information to pass along, which I stated I didn’t have. She offered no sympathy or understanding to the extremely difficult and painful task I was experiencing. You’d think learning the cat is 21, would be enough to discern the importance of the decision I was making in the best interest of my cat. I even told her if the lack of information was preventing her assistance, then I’d seek another facility, and that was the final outcome. I was left with a VERY unpleasant taste regarding this receptionist to top off the slurry of emotions I faced having to lose my best friend.

10 out of 5 stars, I’ve been to a LOT of vets over the years and this is by far the best experience. They were quick to get us in, accommodating when we had a family emergency and Dr. Moss was absolutely amazing. Couldn’t recommend this place more, wish I found them years ago.

I'm not one to write a lot of reviews but I feel Commencement Bay Animal Hospital deserves to be recognized. I have never been here before and they were able to get Oliver seen same day for an urgent care visit which I was struggling to get him seen by anyone, including his regular vet. Staff were very friendly. Dr. Moss was wonderful and took a lot of time to explain everything. Thank you very much for helping Oliver and for putting my mind at ease. Would highly recommend!
