I had a very unusual situation where my necklace had been caught, somehow, in the lip inside my washing machine as I leaned in to make sure no socks where inside after I had just removed the load just finished ....it broke off the chain ...disappearing somewhere in the machine ... it is a VERY important piece of jewelry, no dollar value but extremely sentimental. As I had already taken the laundry from the machine I was perplexed as to where it had vanished to.
