Sensei Eric was a great teacher and very friendly. I got personal attention throughout the class and loved the aura of the place. Definitely recommend everyone to try this place at least once. Aikido is a beautiful martial art form.
I spent a large part of my formative aikido years studying at Seattle Aikikai. As I have told many people, Malory Graham Sensei is simply one of the best teachers (of anything) that I have met in my life. She is incredibly patient and respectful of her students, and allows people the space to learn from their own mistakes without forcing instruction upon them. And she has adeptly passed her teaching style on to her successors at Seattle Aikikai. I have trained for 25 years and lived the majority of my life in Seattle, and Seattle Aikikai is the very first place I would recommend people go to practice aikido in the city.
If you are a beginner to aikido or a longtime practitioner in the art, Seattle Aikikai is a safe, fun and technical place to learn. As a young aikidoka, I deepened my ukemi, became more detail oriented and overall strengthened my practice here. When I finish an hour or two of training at Seattle Aikikai I feel joy. Pure and simple. Joy and relaxation. The instruction has a long complex lineage with roots to Japan and are accepting of members from different styles (me).Have fun and here's to some juicy training!
