About Sammamish Animal Sanctuary
Sammamish Animal Sanctuary is a wonderful destination for a fun and relaxing outing, suitable for all ages. The sanctuary is well-organized, clean, and safe, providing a loving environment for its adorable animals. Visitors can interact with the animals, especially by feeding them with a little bucket of fruits and vegetables purchased for a donation of $5. The friendly volunteers create a welcoming atmosphere, making it an ideal spot for families and groups to spend quality time together. There is also a small playground appropriate for younger children, enhancing the experience for kids. Although parking can be tight, reservations can be made online, and the timing is flexible. The sanctuary offers a calm experience, with the staff being very nice to all visitors. Overall, it is a great place for families to enjoy time with the animals while supporting their care.
This Sanctuary is in my neighborhood but I didn't make the chance to go there until yesterday. It was a delightful experience. It's really fun to feed some of the animals (they sell food buckets there for $5/bucket; no outside food is allowed) & I appreciate how well the staff know the personalities of animals so their well-being comes first. This is not a petting zoo, but a Sanctuary for farm animals, and I really appreciate that. I will continue to support this beautiful refuge and I humbly request that you do so too, because they manage their operations by donations.
I had my 40th birthday here. Yes, adults, you can have a birthday party here and yes, it is amazing. The staff were awesome, so helpful and kind and really loved the animals. The party room was really cute but honestly everyone was so obsessed with hanging out with and feeding the animals (goats, sheep, donkeys, pigs, cows, alpaca oh my!) that we almost forgot to eat cake. The highland cow and Hamilton were definitely stars. We did the goat experience and it was just a delight. Absolutely support this amazing place!
Such a cool place! The worker dude up front was super chill vibes and gave us an easy run down of the rules. For $5 you can purchase a cup of hay cubes to feed the animals, so of course we bought a few of those! We got to feed the hilarious goats and the sweetest highland cow! You can even go into the goat enclosure! Such and fun time and love what the sanctuary does for these animals! Please donate to help them out while you're there too!
