Eastside Community School is a remarkable educational institution that caters to the unique needs and potential of every child. With a broad, rich, and diverse curriculum and specially trained teachers, the school supports the holistic development of its students - ethically, intellectually, socially, physically, spiritually, and artistically. By understanding, respecting, and nurturing each distinct phase of childhood, Eastside Community School inspires a genuine, lifelong love of learning. The students cultivate a wide range of capacities while developing their academic skills, empowering them to think and act with confidence, clarity, and a strong sense of self. Families praise the school's intentional and nourishing approach to education, which encompasses science, math, language arts, foreign languages, cultural experiences, movement, creative arts, and music. The teachers are described as deeply committed, caring, and skilled in partnering with parents to raise well-rounded children. The admission process is unique and experiential, allowing prospective students to immerse themselves in the school's vibrant community and experience the Waldorf-inspired curriculum firsthand. Parents appreciate the school's emphasis on connection with nature, handwork, and the arts, as well as its policy of limiting technology in the early years to foster mindfulness and focus. Eastside Community School's tight-knit community, engaging festivals, and strong parental support further contribute to the exceptional educational journey it provides. As one parent shared, "It takes a village, and I found a like-minded community, and people I can lean on, fostered a thriving academic journey for my middle schooler."

Coming from elementary Montessori school, we weren't sure what to expect from a Waldorf school. But my son's curiousity, musical interest and general desire to invent and create expanded within this environment. Having a main teacher plus many subject teachers gives him a variety of experiences and keeps him engaged and improving his skills and knowledge. Community events and traditions include families, giving all an opportunity to participate.

Fantastic faculty, thoughtful and challenging curriculum, strong community, nourishing environment. A place for kids to be kids. We are very pleased with our experience here and highly recommend it.
