I’ve been a patient at Sound Family Medicine for over 10 years. Most of my visits look like this: From the moment I walk in until I leave not a single person isn’t kind and cheerful. Not in an overly cheerful Christmas movie kind of yuck but a GENUINE happiness to take care of me. The reception, the nurse, my provider Heather, the check out reception. I couldn’t be more happy with this Sound Family medicine. THANK YOU for really seeing me!!

I would have recommended Sound Family medicine in Bonney Lake in a heartbeat beat. I saw Dr. Komarrow for years and adored her. Now, however, after seeing Dr. Devaney, I’m not of the same mindset. Going from a doctor that genuinely listened and showed compassion paired with a good dose of realness and tough love to someone who treats you like a number is disheartening. I definitely won’t see her again. Then my daughter got scheduled with her as well a couple months later. That was when I knew I had to write this review. She completely invalidated and dismissed her diagnosed eating disorder and mental health issues. I couldn’t be more disgusted. Others need to be warned about this unacceptable, closed minded and harmful attitude. She literally questioned my daughter’s therapist and nutritionist and told my daughter she “doesn’t believe in a chemical imbalance” while discrediting a family history of depression, not to mention my daughters current medication telling her “that should’ve only been used as a short term fix.” When you are battling an eating disorder which is a form of addiction that is all consuming and feels insurmountable more often than not and go in for a med check with your newly assigned physician after your doctor retired to this!? Sound family medicine needs to be aware of who they are employing to represent their practice. This is not medical “care.” It’s ancient- biased- archaic thinking that is damaging and harmful. Anyone with mental health concerns, be warned.
