Sea Mar Puyallup Medical Clinic

This clinic sees a large number of low-income and state insurance patients (myself included), so they are definitely very busy. However, during my appointments with them and for my kids, I have felt like my concerns were taken seriously. The staff are compassionate and professional. They are willing to refer to other providers (OBGYN, GI, behavioral health, etc.) when necessary and they process those referrals in less than a week. Sometimes scheduling the appointments for those referrals are several weeks or months out, but that is not Sea Mar's fault (because they are separate clinics). There are a lack of providers at nearly all of the clinics, it is awful. I've been going to the Puyallup location for almost 6 years and for about the last 2+ years they have no Doctors there and nobody that can see you. I have medications I require be filled on a regular basis... and at times I'm without them because there's nobody to refill them....or they insist you go in at some location to be seen first....sometimes appointments are scheduled several weeks or a month away!!.and getting to a location somewhere that may be out of your area isnt always easy either. I give it a two because whenever we’re here for dental it’s always quick and the doctors and nurses are very friendly. But the medical doctors are useless they don’t even know what their doing I went for severe bone pain I called to schedule the lady on the phone asked me if I want a male or female doctor I specifically asked for a female I show up and both the doctor and the nurse are
male. He asked me what was wrong I said what was wrong. He asked if I have any cold symptoms I said no and he laughed and said then I am fine and sent me home.
