About Kaiser Permanente Eye Care - Olympia Medical Center

Kaiser Permanente Eye Care - Olympia Medical Center offers a mixed experience for patients. While some staff members, such as the medical assistants and optical shop staff, are great, others may be less understanding and communicative. Patients may need to wait for their appointments, even if they are late due to circumstances beyond their control. Additionally, the eyeglass lab may not always meet expectations, with some patients receiving lenses that are not as dark as requested. However, the doctors at the center, including Dr. Anuras and Dr. Laynor, are knowledgeable, kind, and clear in their explanations, taking the time to listen to patients' concerns. Overall, the center has its strengths, but may benefit from improved communication and attention to detail.

I arrived late to my appointment because of traffic and was worried that I might have to reschedule. Thankfully, everyone I met was incredibly kind, understanding, and accommodating. They made sure I could complete my eye exam and helped me order the glasses I needed.

Thank you to everyone at Kaiser who helped me. I truly appreciate your kindness and excellent service. You turned what could have been a stressful experience into a very positive one. 😇

I think they're a decent optometry office. The eye shop has been fine. If I don't like what they offer, I'll take it to another vender. I'm not sure why they get a lot of flack for things they can't really control.

I have been KP member for about 4 years now. The care is ok and not much different than other average care places. The staff has been really nice.and attentive every time I go to them. The Pharmacy is good and pleasant to deal with .....but.... Let's talk about their very controversial, arrogant and dismissive Customer support and the ridiculous amount of red tape they call KP protocols. First and foremost: they are very slow to nor at all in responding to one's "continued" care. I have had several occasions s when I had some procedure done that required a follow-up. Almost in every occasion I did not get a phone call back, even if the doctor promissed me he will call me back. I have called my family provider to ask for a referral to a specialist on several different occasions in the last year and I am still awaiting a response. When they do call, they ask me to go to my Fam Dictor first. Now keep in mind two things: 1. He is not a specialist 2. He always has to send me to one after my visit to him. Now, I pay $30 copay, whether he can help me or not. I get charged the $30 to litterally listen to him tell me I have to go to someone else. That happened with an ENT, Orthopedics, Foot doctor and so on. The $30 copays add up quickly with them and with nothing to show for it. Then comes their phone help people who are arrogant and always try to explain their protocols to me and usually ask me "what do you want me to do sir"? I have asked for their Patient Advocat and they didn't know what that is. Then I asked for a member of management and every time I get someone who is so all but al8ve and caring. They always call.me and live me messages that I have missed to pay my bill, but I am yet to get a follow up for any my previous visits. KP is a rocket that only cares about their profits. They need a Donald Trump style overhaul.
