While the front desk staff was friendly and accommodating, our experience with the groomer was unfortunately very disappointing. When we dropped our cat off, we were upfront that he can be 'spicy,' as he has been since he was a kitten.
The groomer seemed unwilling to work with him and commented that perhaps our cat just 'didn't like her touch,' which felt unprofessional. The other staff members even seemed surprised by her comment.
This attitude was reflected in the service, as the hygiene cleaning was done poorly. While we understand that a groomer can have a bad day, the quality of the work was not acceptable. It was also a small disappointment that his picture wasn't posted on their site, which is a touch we usually look forward to. Because of this experience, we will not be returning.

Brittany does the best job with our cairn terrier’s hand strip and clip. Love our visits here! And visiting with Dorothy the shop cat is always a highlight.

These guys are CROOKS! They quoted us $80 for a standard dog grooming (which we HAD to pay in advance)…then charged us $140!!!! When I asked why they just said “well your dog was difficult” ( but wouldn’t elaborate.)! To make things worse they would not give me my dog until I paid them!!!!
Stay away from this place at all cost!

This was my dog’s first and last visit to The Wizard of Paws, and it was an awful experience from start to finish.
First, the appointment process was ridiculous. I was required to pay a $150 deposit three weeks in advance just to secure the appointment, supposedly in case of cancellation. I would have been fine with leaving a card on file, but having to give up that amount of money so far in advance felt unreasonable. Still, I decided to give them a chance because of the good reviews.
When the actual grooming day came, things only got worse. My dog came home with an uneven haircut, a poorly done nail trim, and loose hairs sticking out everywhere. I even had to fix some of the trimming myself because when I asked them to correct it, they refused. To make matters worse, they charge by the hour at an outrageous $80 per hour. What they fail to tell you is that the clock starts the moment you walk in the door, including the 20 minutes spent checking in and discussing the grooming instructions. It also does not stop until you physically pick up your dog, so if you live 20 minutes away, you are paying for that time as well.
My dog is usually groomed in under two hours elsewhere, but here it took 3.5 hours, and I was billed for every minute of it. In the end, I paid far too much for a terrible cut and unprofessional service. Honestly, I could have gone to Petco and gotten a better haircut for a fraction of the price.
Save your money and your time—this salon is not worth it.

The groomers are most definitely the best. We had been with Kendra for years, and loved her talent. My baby girl is the sweetest. She is also very anxious during the car ride, and SOMETIMES gets calming chews for the ride. This was true for all years she had been seeing Kendra. One morning, by surprise, we were told they could not groom a dog who was "medicated", and we were refused service. I absolutely recommend the groomers. We are very sad to lose Kendra. I cannot recommend a business who selectively treats customers this way.
