Doctor Owen’s is truly one of a kind human. Last month my sweet boy moose was really lethargic one day, we rushed him to the er. He lost so much blood and was sadly diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma. They gave him a double blood transfusion Friday night they said it would give him a few days. We scheduled someone to come to our home Sunday. Sadly he took a turn Saturday afternoon. Many vets suggested Sarah. I called her, she was so nice over the phone. She had prior plans, but offered to go to her home to help us. We took the offer. We rushed moose there, it was so peaceful. Dr. Owens came out same day to help our bunny pass. It felt like she was there because she cared, not because she was working. While I wish no one needed home euthanasia, if you do, you will feel cared for and know your beloved pet is in great hands.
I reached out to Dr Owen’s on thanksgiving morning. I had called many many home vets hoping to have my dog euthanized at home instead of at the ER. Unfortunately my dog passed peacefully at the ER, but only Dr Owens got back to me with her availability. We wanted to take my dog home so our other pet could say goodbye. She offered to pick her up in the evening for a private cremation. I really appreciate that she communicated and provided services on thanksgiving day with little notice.she stayed in touch through the process, and her husband who came to pick up the body was so respectful towards us and my dogs body.
