My daughter absolutely loves taking ballet and contemporary at IDT. The instructors are patient, kind, and know how to make learning fun for children. The studio has a positive and encouraging atmosphere. She looks forward to her class every week and her confidence has grown so much. We love IDT and will definitely be continuing here for years to come!

Our daughters have been dancing at Issaquah Dance Theatre for the past 7 years, and it has truly become a second home for our family. The staff and teachers are outstanding—caring, encouraging, and highly skilled. The quality of instruction is amazing, and our children have grown so much as dancers and as individuals. Beyond the dance training, we’ve built such a strong and supportive community here, which has been invaluable. We feel incredibly grateful for the guidance, artistry, and warmth that IDT provides. This will be my daughter’s fourth year at IDT. My daughter has grown so much here, not only improving her dance skills but also becoming more confident and making wonderful friends. The teachers are caring and professional, and the atmosphere is always fun and positive.
As a parent, it is truly rewarding to see her progress and happiness. We are very grateful to the school and the teachers!

All 3 of my girls have had such positive experiences at Issaquah Dance Theater! My eldest, now 11, started classes there at 3, and was hooked from the very first class (and recently joined their performing group). From the amazing teachers, variety of dance styles, to the fellow dancers & families — it has just been wonderful to become part of the IDT family!!!

I am just starting my second year of college, and I started dancing at IDT at the age of 4 and I danced all the way through high school. IDT has been a second home for me since the beginning. I have made some of my best friends there, and it has taught me so many things. I would recommend dance to anyone because it is such a unique sport and an amazing outlet for emotions. The instructors at IDT truly care about each dancer, both as performers and as people. They helped me grow not only in technique but also as a person. Even now, in college, I carry the lessons and character I learned/created at IDT with me every day. It was always more than a dance studio to me, it’s a place where I built lifelong memories and become part of a family. I’m forever grateful to IDT for shaping me into the dancer and person I am today.

My daughter was with IDT for a whole year in their Hip Hop dance class. My daughter and me were not feeling very engaging or welcoming. There is less consistency in class planning and poor communication.
