“Hands down the best salon I’ve been to. The atmosphere and wonderful staff almost had me in happy tears as I was walking out. I booked an appointment online, sent in and email explaining my situation and what I was hoping to achieve. Unfortunately, I was at a different salon that completely wrecked my hair. After an at home color remover treatment and a head full of dried hair, I bit the bullet and made an appointment. Not only did the owner personally email me throughout the day and LATE into the evening, she was able to get me in much sooner. As for my stylist, Sady, she was amazing. My appointment started on time, she offered me snacks/drinks, and she tolerated my infant for 3/4 of the appointment. She made me feel comfortable and relaxed. Sady was efficient but really gave me the time to connect with her. After almost 4 hours, my hair was FIXED! Oh, the salon was clean and had no harsh chemical smell. As long as this salon is open, I’ll continue going back! HIGHLY recommend you give it a try.“

I have thin hair. Apparently, and by my experience, it's hard to cut and look good. Terrance in Gig Harbor Hair Masters had an online recommendation for being good with this type of hair. I tried him and it looks really good! I don't even need to style it now. Yes, highly recommended? Woohoo“

“Melanie is incredible! As a bridesmaid, she not only did my hair but also styled the entire wedding party—including the bride, mother of the bride, five bridesmaids, and the flower girl. Since the venue wasn’t available until later, she had us start at the salon at 6 a.m., and then came with us to the venue to finish and do the final touch-ups. We were all so thankful for her flexibility and creative problem-solving, and every one of us looked amazing!

I was especially nervous because my hair is quite thin and has been falling out. I’ve had some bad experiences with hairstylists at weddings before, and my mom is also a hairstylist, which makes it hard for me to trust just anyone with my hair. I had decided to use clip-in extensions for a fuller look, with braids and soft curls, but I was worried it might be too much to ask. When I showed Melanie the picture and the extensions, she was enthusiastic and confident about creating the look I wanted. She worked effortlessly with the extensions, constantly checking in with me to make sure I felt comfortable and that she was on track with my vision.

As someone whose mom is a hairstylist, it’s always a little hard to sit in another stylist’s chair, but Melanie made it feel so easy and comfortable.

“First time coming here. Signed up for a transformative cut. I was ready to let my stylist do whatever she thought would look good on me. We talked about my hair, my lifestyle. My 62 year old hair was permed and this last one was horrible. Alexis suggested a straight style. She tried my hair and styled it. I really like it. I don't feel like a frumpy old lady and doing my hair the next was was very easy. I'm going back in 12 weeks since she wanted my hair to grow out some so she can perfect the style. I'm very happy. They offer the typical beauty supplies from haircare to skincare, and they tend to skew on the pricier side, but they do have different selections. My partner needed some heavy-duty nail clippers and was able to get them easily here, though we needed some help from staff in finding it. Employees here were friendly and helpful.“

“The good: I don't like making appointments for a haircut so the hybrid system is great. You can check the wait time online and get on the list before you leave home. The price is also great. I can't stomach paying $50-60 for a haircut that takes 10 minutes. The bad: you never know what kind of cut you're going to get. Staff turnover is high so it's rare to get the same stylist twice. I've had seriously good cuts here - 5 stars all the way. But I've a also a couple of 1 star cuts - really, really bad. Fortunately hair grows back. But until I can bare to lay down more cash for a cut, Great Clips it is.“
