“I’ve been to a lot of barbers over the years, but Lorraine really stands out. From the moment I sat in the chair, you can tell she actually pays attention to the details most people rush through. I went in for both a haircut and beard trim, and she took her time to shape everything so it worked together, not just separately.
The fade came out super clean and blended perfectly, no harsh lines at all. What I liked most was that she didn’t just follow a basic pattern, she adjusted it to fit my head shape and how my hair naturally falls. Same with the beard she lined it up sharp but still kept it looking natural, not overly sculpted or fake. She also explains what she’s doing and gives small suggestions that actually make a difference, which shows she knows her craft and isn’t just going through the motions. You leave looking fresh, but also feeling like the style suits you specifically.

“Big Dawg Barbershop is definitely one of the best spots in Tacoma for a haircut. The boys are always welcoming, laid back, and have great conversation. It’s the kind of place where you can actually relax, enjoy the whole experience, and know you are going to look good when you walk out. Scheduling is super easy, and they’re always willing to be flexible if I ever needed to adjust or fit something in.

I’ve been getting my hair cut by Josh for the past 2 years, and he’s been consistent every single time. The conversations are always real and easy, and he knows exactly how I like my cut. I would usually go with a low fade and take some length off the top, and he nailed it every visit. You can tell he really takes pride in his work and cares about his clients. I always looked forward to coming in and catching up with Josh and the boys.
