I am deeply impressed by their professionalism and the emphasis they place on character development. Enrolling my child here was the best decision I made for his fourth birthday. Sadly, we have to end our time here due to an upcoming move, but I wholeheartedly recommend Master Shon’s to everyone.“

We have 3 daughters practicing the art now and they can’t wait for each session to come. The environment feels like a family. Skill level is high, expectations are high, but the Kim’s balance it all with tremendous care and patience. This studio enforces what we teach at home: belief, confidence, respect, and grit. Highly recommend, without reservation.“

10445 SE 240th St, Kent“Lion's Way Martial Arts is a fantastic school for adults and kids. The instructor, Skip, is friendly, patient, and an awesome martial artist. My 2 sons are in the children's class and they love it. I was curious how my youngest son would take to it because he has an introverted personality, but he loves the class because Skip's teaching style is super engaging.
I am also a relatively new student in the adult class (6 months). I previously trained only in stand-up martial arts long ago and was hoping to get back into martial arts and find a style that covers both ground and stand-up. I was lucky to find this school as it has it all with Sambo, where you train throws, ground submissions (armbars, chokes, ...), and stand-up fighting. There is a wide variety of skill levels among the adult students, who are all super helpful and great to partner up with, and importantly, no egos. On top of this, Skip is constantly coaching and helping us to improve our ground position, throwing angle, or footwork.
No matter your skill level, I highly recommend this school for anyone interested in martial arts!“

1411 E Main Ave, Puyallup“Finding the right Taekwondo school has been a long journey for us, and we couldn’t be happier to have discovered Q’s Taekwondo in Puyallup. The level of instruction here is beyond impressive, and having a grandmaster directly involved is something truly special. After spending 20 years living all over the world, including in South Korea, where Taekwondo was born, I’ve seen firsthand how martial arts are taught in many places. Q’s Taekwondo stands out as the best.
The school is about so much more than just learning techniques; it’s about building confidence, discipline, and character. My daughters absolutely love attending, and it’s amazing to watch them grow under the guidance of such skilled and dedicated instructors. I feel incredibly lucky to have this gem in our community—a place where kids learn not just martial arts, but also values that will shape them for life.“
