2908 Meridian Ave E #107, Edgewood“Freedom Martial Arts Academy is truly an incredible place! They treat every child with dignity and respect while holding them to the highest expectations, helping them grow in discipline, confidence, and skill. Beyond their commitment to martial arts, they also give back to the community by serving dinners once a month at the local community center—a testament to their values and dedication to making a positive impact.
I personally participate in their Friday morning yoga sessions, and it has been life-changing for my flexibility and balance. Monica, the yoga instructor, is absolutely amazing—her guidance and encouragement make every session a joy. The owners of the academy are wonderful people who genuinely care about everyone who walks through their doors.
If you’re looking for a place that fosters growth, community, and wellness, I highly recommend Freedom Martial Arts Academy!“

2016 S 320th St Suite C, Federal Way“Was visiting the area on a work trip and dropped in. Extremely welcoming environment. I primarily train no gi and only had the opportunity to attend the all levels gi class. I was welcomed onto the mat by the large amount of upper belts attending class, even though I did not have a gi to train with. Very organized class structure. Clean environment. Friendly people. Would recommend this school to anybody looking for a quality gym to train at.“

2301 SW 336th St, Federal Way“My son has been training at Master Shon's for over three months, and the progress he has made is incredible. He has developed a genuine love for Taekwondo, thanks to the dedicated efforts of all the masters.
I am deeply impressed by their professionalism and the emphasis they place on character development. Enrolling my child here was the best decision I made for his fourth birthday. Sadly, we have to end our time here due to an upcoming move, but I wholeheartedly recommend Master Shon’s to everyone.“

The owner is a really genuine person and the classes are flexible. I can see that my son is getting a real quality experience there. He’s really enjoying it and it’s been so good for him. He is not just learning to defend himself but also practicing discipline and focus, and he’s finding it very rewarding.“

We have 3 daughters practicing the art now and they can’t wait for each session to come. The environment feels like a family. Skill level is high, expectations are high, but the Kim’s balance it all with tremendous care and patience. This studio enforces what we teach at home: belief, confidence, respect, and grit. Highly recommend, without reservation.“

1411 E Main Ave, Puyallup“Finding the right Taekwondo school has been a long journey for us, and we couldn’t be happier to have discovered Q’s Taekwondo in Puyallup. The level of instruction here is beyond impressive, and having a grandmaster directly involved is something truly special. After spending 20 years living all over the world, including in South Korea, where Taekwondo was born, I’ve seen firsthand how martial arts are taught in many places. Q’s Taekwondo stands out as the best.
The school is about so much more than just learning techniques; it’s about building confidence, discipline, and character. My daughters absolutely love attending, and it’s amazing to watch them grow under the guidance of such skilled and dedicated instructors. I feel incredibly lucky to have this gem in our community—a place where kids learn not just martial arts, but also values that will shape them for life.“
