Cindy did a phenomenal job with our wedding flowers. We had a couple of calls with her and she totally captured our aesthetic and ran with it in the best way. Not only is Cindy an incredibly talented florist, but she is also so kind and easy to work with. If you are looking for a florist on Orcas, I would definitely go with the Nest.

Can't speak for all those negative reviews, but my wife and I have been coming to Orcas for some fifteen years and Karen has been nothing but helpful and totally professional. Handling all those rentals is an enormous and difficult job, but she is up to the task. Would not consider renting from anyone else. We totally trust and appreciate the people at Cherie Lindholm Real Estate, to the point that we bought a property on the island through them. Agent John Erly was a tremendous help, and he does not abandon you once the sale is made. Can't speak highly enough of his service and character.
Whether it is Tony or Jenna, they both are great at styling and haircuts! Jenna does a great job on men's beard trim, and so does Tony!
I have taken many Bootybarre and private Pilates classes from Lauren Weaver over the years. She is THE best fitness Instructor on Orcas Island. Her classes are fun and very effective! She really knows the body and holds space for you to be your healthiest self. I feel safe and supported while being instructed by Lauren. Her compassion and knowledge are impressive and make you feel truly cared for.❤

Having Didier as our day of coordinator was one of the best wedding planning decisions we made. Everyone who knows Didier speaks highly of him and love working with him, and we did too! Not only was he extremely organized and kept our timeline in check, he also has invaluable insight into the wedding planning itself, since he has a ton of experience. He brings a very relaxed disposition and was on top of everything and worked very very hard.Hiring Didier really allowed my wife and I to relax during the day and all the events and not have to be distracted by keeping everything on track. I am not a golfer, but this year looks like a beautiful golf course to me! We did play the mini golf, and boy did we have a fun time! The girl that works there Jill is just a doll and so helpful and fun to be around! It was kind of a cold drizzly day, but we sure made the best of it, and even took some incredible ice cream home with us!
As an Orcas Island resident for less than a week, I experienced systems consistent with a retinal tear. I reached out to Dr. Castagna's office and someone got back to me right away. Even though I was not a current patient, they worked me into their schedule, on their lunch hour, and even helped me make arrangements to board my puppy when it became clear I would need to go off island for treatment. They referred me to a specialist in Bellingham, where I received excellent treatment the very next day. In short, Dr. Castagna and his staff were responsive, helpful, and reassuring. They made a very distressing situation much more manageable for me. Assuming they are accepting new patients, I will definitely continue to receive my regular eye care there. It is a relief to know there is such a high quality eye care provider on island.
I couldn't be happier with Jazmin and her team. Her is is sweet, genuine, honest, and patient. Jazmin started my business for me, and has managed it from day one. She takes the time to explain everything to me, and lets me know promptly when action is needed. She saved me from being eaten alive by taxes this year.
