As an Orcas Island resident for less than a week, I experienced systems consistent with a retinal tear. I reached out to Dr. Castagna's office and someone got back to me right away. Even though I was not a current patient, they worked me into their schedule, on their lunch hour, and even helped me make arrangements to board my puppy when it became clear I would need to go off island for treatment. They referred me to a specialist in Bellingham, where I received excellent treatment the very next day. In short, Dr. Castagna and his staff were responsive, helpful, and reassuring. I was seen by Dr. Castagna for an eye injury that was deteriorating quickly. He was incredibly thorough and competent. He found and removed some foreign objects on my eyelid after which my condition immediately turned around and has been improving, and I am extremely appreciative of the care he provided. For all I know it saved my vision in one of my eyes. I can’t recommend enough
I've never met any form of Doctor with this man's bedside manner. Through the surgery he explained every step of the prosses to remove metal and a rust ring from my pupil. I was completely comfortable during the prosses and would highly recommend this clinic to everyone.
