My husband, daughter and I visited Leavenworth for our honeymoon and booked a cribbage board class with Jon at NCW Woodshop. It was a great experience & we loved everything about it! Jon was very helpful in explaining things & made us feel comfortable with all the equipment. We will definitely be visiting this place again! Highly recommend looking into the classes offered here!
If you are traveling to Leavenworth or just so happen to find yourself in Cashmere, this is a place that is worth a stop. Not only does it contain beautiful pieces of salvaged goods (sinks, lamps, door knobs, etc.) for any diy lovers, but downstairs they have a full woodshop full of experienced workers ready to guide you through a handcrafted project. We took a day trip to Leavenworth and this was the highlight of our day. We worked with Jon, who not only was incredibly patient and effective with his teachings, but also not overbearing. We absolutely love the NCW Woodshop! My husband and I took the Beginner class series and were amazed that by the end of our five weeks, we had made a beautiful project and had a strong understanding of how to safely use all of the tools in the shop. We are now members and appreciate the 24/7 access to the shop as we adventure into creating custom built-in storage/furniture for our home.
