I love the location, the care received, and the staff I've worked with, but the prices are through the roof! I've taken my two cats and my dog there since 2020. They sometimes get ear infections and have many old age issues. They always get good care, but I have turned down recommended tests and some medications because of the cost.

I was very disappointed with my recent experience at this hospital. I called on Monday to schedule an appointment for Thursday for my dog. When I arrived for the appointment, the staff informed me that no appointment was in their system and that my dog could only be seen if I paid an additional urgent care fee.
I showed the staff my call log from Monday in hopes that they would acknowledge and accommodate what appeared to be a simple scheduling error, especially as I have been a loyal customer for several years. Instead, I was told the number I called was not theirs—despite the fact that when I dialed it in front of them, their phone rang.
I understand that mistakes happen, but the lack of accountability and professionalism shown during this interaction was very disappointing and deserves to be noted.

The staff was very friendly, and not to mention the place is big and clean. It didn't feel like a normal pet visit. It literally felt like a dr's appointment.

Timber Ridge took great care of our dog after a scary accident where she tore a ligament in her knee. They got us in quickly and talked us through our options, letting us stay back with her for some procedures, etc. They have also called to follow up on how she is doing. We are very thankful for the compassion that was shown to us and our dog in a time of uncertainty.

I've came here a few times now and this is my cat(s) regular veterinarian. They have such compassionate bedside manner and treat your pet like family instead of just a patient. I highly recommend coming here.

Last November 2025, we took our 2 boys both Japanese Chin to have their vaccines done and get a quote for dental cleanings. After the exams and bloodwork done, they gave us the estimates for dental cleanings. We got shock to know how much it cost us to have it done. About $4500 for each of them coz they told us , a possible tooth extraction etc etc that puts our boys in the high end of the quote. So , the next day, I decided to call Lake Tapps Veterinary Hospital. Get appointment for another health exam, thank God , they honor the bloodwork done by Timber Ridge. And we got the quotes for our boys dental cleanings,. Its way cheaper , $1500 for each them. Before the year ends, last Dec 30th, our boys has their teeth cleaned and teeth extracted. For $2554 for both of them . The cost of bloodworks is deducted too . Additionally, the vet doctors, technicians and staffs are awesome too. So for all pet lovers, don’t make the same mistakes we did before, going to this Timber Ridge Veterinary Hospital, they will going to RIPPED YOU OFF !!!
CURTIS FYI the low end of the estimates for the dental cleanings of our boys starts $2212 up to the high estimate of $3468, not including the taxes for only one pup. The other one is higher . Whereas in Lake Tapps Veterinary Clinic , we pay $2554 for both of them. My husband , meet one of your client too in a therapy clinic. They spoke about it, he said they went to your clinic and they pay over $4000 to have their pup ‘s dental cleaning done. And he said, theyre not coming back to your clinic anymore too. Attach is the estimates we received from Timber Ridge. So tell me now , that your clinic is not ripping off your clients with high cost of services. By the way , vaccines are way much cheaper in Lake Tapps too.

My fiancé took our cat here on Christmas Eve, I know the holidays can be busy so we are very appreciative of them checking out our kitty. However they took a urine sample as she has been having issues going potty, they said it would take 5 days and it’s been almost over a week now😕 again I know the holidays are busy but every time we call they don’t answer the phone and we live a little further, if something was really wrong or urgently needed to be done with my cat I would be upset

We ended up here when Blue Pearl was booked up. They were flexible with our arrival time because we were coming from far away.
I think we spent a total of 2hrs here which isn't bad in an empty lobby. They had coloring pages for the kids and even offered them snacks. They had a bathroom easily accessible. It was as comfortable as it possibly could be.
My dog enjoyed playing with the receptionist and is currently hitting me with the toy they let him keep so I gotta go byeeee
