I can’t recommend this place enough! Honestly it’s the best vet care I’ve ever had for my little dude. If you want vets and staff who listen and treat your pets as members of your family then this is the place to go. A million stars for you guys. Sad to have to move but if in find myself back in the area in will be bringing Forrest back to see you guys. Thank you!!

I would give more stars if I could. When we needed a travel health certificate Dr. Lee and her team got us in on short notice, and worked hard to make sure that we had all of the documents needed. They coordinated with USDA to make sure all of the documents would be accepted. They were proactive in identifying and solving potential slowdowns as well as proactively researching issues related to our dog's vaccinations. They thought through the problem with us an found solutions that worked. Through all of it they were patient, good natured, and professional.

I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Wonderful veterinary clinic. They were able schedule my dog quickly; the vet we saw was kind and considerate.

I just got a puppy a little over a month ago, and based on the reviews, I decided to take him here for his initial wellness exam and required vaccinations.

    The good:
The vets and techs here are great. They handle my dog well, listen well, and are knowledgeable about what issues to look out for based on your dog’s lifestyle and exposure risks.

    The bad:
Mainly sticker shock and difficulties getting what I need from the front office staff. Having had 3 other dogs when I lived in Seattle, I was used to paying between $20-60 for every basic visit and vaccine appointment at Urban Animal. I recently examined my receipts more carefully, and each of my first three visits here included an $80 wellness exam. I was only expecting the wellness exam fee to be the first visit, and all I wanted were vaccines for my puppy. Not only that, but the vaccines here are almost double what they cost when I was taking my previous dogs to Urban Animal in Seattle (who never charged me a wellness exam on top of the vaccinations). I just feel like the pricing is not transparent and each visit has been hundreds of dollars — much more than I was expecting to be paying and I never asked for the additional wellness exams.

Getting the receipts were tricky because they initially had the wrong email address and whenever I asked for them to be emailed to the correct address, I just felt put off by their responses… today it took three emails and a phone call to get receipts for my visit.

I hate to be negative, especially since I support the good work that needs to be done for our pets. I just wish they could be more transparent about charges and services requested prior to you coming in. This way, we could all avoid the sticker shock of paying hundreds of dollars at a time for only 2 vaccines.

I am so glad I have been seeing Northshore Veterinary Hospital for my dog's care. I have had a great experience all around. The front office staff was great. Dr. Schultz really seemed genuinely interested in my dog and his care. She took plenty of time to answer my questions and discuss my dog's care. The after visit summaries were very complete and helpful in summarizing the care plan and gave great instructions for me to follow.

I established care at Northshore after I moved to town. During my dogs annual visit, he received a vaccine that needed a booster a couple weeks later. I took him a couple weeks later to get the booster. Come to find out months later that they did not give him the booster and gave him a routine vaccine that should have been given at his yearly appointment and said my dog declined the booster. There was never a conversation about my dog declining the booster. I think that there may have been some errors in their care and record keeping. I thought my dog was vaccinated and he was not. When I addressed this concern with the practice manager, she was nice and meet my needs. With what happened, I cannot go back because I cannot trust what vaccines they are giving my dog after what happened. After this happened, I worked with Dr. Knowles during a few visits and he provides great care and is great to work with and I am disappointment my dogs won't be receiving his care and expertise, but I cannot trust what is happening at this facility.

What a wonderful experience. From the moment I called and made an appointment the staff was on point, attentive, and retrieved my pet's medical records from California ensuring Dr. Kimberly Barron had all pertinent information prior to seeing us. Dr. Barron was pleasant, attentive and informative as she dealt with my German Shepherd and his anxiety. The cost for the services rendered were acceptable and reasonable considering my experiences with my previous veterinary needs. I'd highly recommend this veterinary hospital.
