I do not recommend this barber shop if you have curly hair. My husbands curls were chopped right off since they cut it wet, which is not something you do with curls as when you wet them they elongate. Since they cut them wet, they went way too short. They also left a large chunk on the top of his head, way longer than the rest. We ended up going to another barber shop right after, even that barber shop was baffled that the previous shop let my husband walk out with his hair how it looked.

I had been searching for a good stylist for my 5 year old daughter's very curly, C3 hair. Busy B's was the right choice! Bernard was patient and gentle with her. It took a long time to get through her thick curls, but he kept her comfortable and did a great job on her haircut. I've taken her to other stylists in Bellingham that charged 2-3x as much for less quality work. Highly recommend!

This place is the ONLY barber in Bellingham that I’ve found that can cut my curls right and give an amazing haircut each and every time. I have gone here since I’ve moved to Bellingham almost 10 years ago and James has been my barber for that time. He’s seen me grow up and change through a lot of hair styles. He’s cut my long hair, given me great short cuts and even cut my mullet for years. When I first moved to Bellingham, I was in the middle of my transition from female to male and being on testosterone - I still had a baby face and knew nothing about barbers or even how to ask for what I wanted. James didn’t care and treated me the same as anyone else - he’s supported my journey with amazing haircuts and confidence boosts. Busy B’s has been there for me even in hard time and isn’t just a barbershop but a pillar in Bellinghams community. If I wasn’t moving hours away, I’d come back to them for all my haircuts.

Took my 7 year old in and Shawna was the best. Took her time, asked his opinions, made him comfortable and the rest of the shop was friendly and professional.

What’s worse than a bad cut? A $6 dollar cut that cost $60. I’ve honestly had better $6 cuts. Where are the talented barbers that take pride in their service and how their clients look? Fooled again by high ratings!

I’ve been here before and it was typically a lovely experience, but I had an extremely strange and rude experience last time. I had a cut scheduled 2 days in advance at a set time, yet when I showed up my barber wasn’t there. I ended up waiting for 10 minutes before the owner just shrugged and said she didn’t show up, and went back to cutting hair. No apology, no explanation and didn’t let me know what to do. Like five minutes later he said he could cut my hair if I just wait, so literally a full hour after I had arrived he finally finished cutting his clients hair, which had already been started before I entered. When I stood up to get mine cut, he said I had to wait behind two other clients, presumably for another two hours given his ridiculously slow pace. Once again, not a single apology. He barely had the decency to speak up or make eye contact. Just mumbling dismissive nonsense. The wildest part is, he still had the audacity to flip around a tip selection screen when I paid for the drink I had while waiting for an hour. idk what was going on with him, but he was totally unapologetic and non communicative. Completely wasted my time.

Matthew is amazing with my 2 year old grandson. He sat 45 for his haircut. Matthew was very patient with him.
