Darn Tough are truly best socks I've ever worn. I've been a picky sock person for years now, but they are something else entirely.
The knit is so smooth it's almost buttery - even if you turn them inside out, it's still so even and silky!! How do they even do it??!?!

Pricey but worth it. I have waited to write this review until I could put them to the test. Over the last two weeks the weather in West Virginia has been below zero daily and snow/ice covered. I have worn darn tough socks every day while shoveling, snow blowing, skiing, chipping ice and hauling firewood. Not once did they slip down my calf, tear, scrunch or leave my feet cold. 100% recommend and comes with a lifetime warranty to boot!

My recommendation is yes and no. I like the socks very much but don't seem to be able to get a simple question about caring for them in a hard water environment answered. I have reached out more than once. since the hard water is affecting the socks in a negative way. I don't think I will be buying anymore nor will I recommend them to anyone who lives in an area with hard water.
