Best customer service of any company I know. Every product built to last. My erg machine has lasted 25 years and going strong. There’s a reason why the best rowers in the world use concept 2 oars as well.
This is a review of Concept 2's Bike ERG and PM5 (Performance Monitor) product. I've had the Bike ERG for several years and appreciate the simplicity and build quality. It has served me well and quickly paid for itself by allowing me to exercise at home instead of paying a gym membership.
There is, however, one significant problem. The PM5 needs to be calibrated every million meters or so. I ride 8-9 Km per day so this happens at least twice a year. The calibration requires you to pedal repeatedly at settings well above what many riders are used to, including the maximum setting (10). Incredible machine. I’m not an athlete by all means, and using the rower a few times a week has made my whole body feel stronger. Really enjoyable workout that can be pushed as hard as you’re willing. Don’t be fooled by the other companies out there: Concept 2 is the best choice!
