I'm a 29 y/o whose job require that I maintain a strong level of fitness and health. I try to get massage therapy at least once a month so that I can continue to train and do my job at the highest level possible. While traveling through the area I had the opportunity to get an appointment with Ann. I've been getting massage therapy for over 7 years and she is by far one of the most knowledgeable and experienced practitioners I have ever met. Even though I only had one session with her she took the time to get my full background, screen me and still put in an hour of quality work. She has a wealth of experience she is willing to share based on her background working with olympic athletes, and as an athlete herself. I highly recommend her work. Although I do not live in the area, if traveling through again I would not hesitate to get another session.

As others have said, don't confuse this talented and very experienced PT/MT with a similarly named clothing line. As of this writing, I've had one massage session with Ann, and I came away feeling like my skin fit better on my body, or my body fit better in my skin; take your pick. While I was not there for a specific problem, she did the kind of assessment I would expect at a physical therapy visit, not a massage session. She gave me some great feedback about my body. Ann has been in this game a long time. She has deep, first hand knowledge about many aspects of PT and massage, alternative therapies and techniques, and how they developed. She has known many of the movers and shakers personally. Ann has definite opinions about many aspects of her practice (and many other things), and isn't shy about sharing. If you want it, you'll get not only a great massage, but an education and some good stories. I'm looking forward to my next visit.

Ann is awesome! She knows the human body and has an amazing background in Physical Therapy. I starting seeing Ann when I had bad back pain. Ann did a whole body evaluation of my gate and provided advice on how to best take care of my back and prevent further back problems. She is awesome at deep tissue and knows exactly what is needed. I always feel better and am never too sore the next day. I have been seeing Ann for over 8 years. My mother who is in her 80's is a regular too and sees her at her home. .She is the best! She has great downtown location too.

She's no purveyor of women's clothing. This Ann Taylor is much better: a sassy, opinionated, 50-something year old part-time Mad River Glen ski instructor, former trainer for the Venezuelan Olympic luge team (yep, they have one; ask her and she'll be happy to tell you the story); and the owner/operator of some of the best hands in massage I've ever had the good fortune to experience. I'm not sure what the range of her services includes. She mentioned that she does in-house calls, she's trained as a physical therapist, and her massage treatments include deep tissue, Swedish massage and massage with moist heat. She sometimes uses "natural aromatherapy" -- i.e. she rubs the oils from the cut skin of a grapefruit and dabs it on your face. Sounds hokey, I know... but honestly, it's kind of nice. Rates are extremely reasonable. I booked a 60 minute massage, but received a 75 minute one, during which she massaged out every muscle kink I think I've ever had. She charged a mere $60. I kind of felt like that was highway robbery... on my part. Three notes: 1. She does like to talk during massage, so if you're a hushed and whispery masseuse type, you may not enjoy this approach. Or you could ask her for a silent massage. :) 2. On certain days of the week, Ms. Taylor works at Mad River Massage in Waitsfield, VT (near the intersection of Rts 17 and 100). You can try to ask for her, there, too. 3. If you request a house call, have her bring Bode Miller, her laborador retriever. In this incarnation, he's not very fast on skis, but he's awfully sweet.
