My experience at Sentara Emergency Medical Center was extremely disappointing. After arriving with my 1-year and a half son, we had to wait for 40 minutes just to get checked in, and then another hour to be taken inside. Despite my son being in pain, there seemed to be no prioritization for children. Once we were finally brought inside, we were immediately taken to the X-ray lab, but unfortunately, things only went downhill from there.To my surprise, Dr. Khan arrived an hour later and proceeded to ask me the same questions about why we had come to the emergency room, without even consulting the nurses who had been documenting our case since our arrival. Septic for the second time and you guys have made everything to make sure I go home feeling better and with the right medication. Thank you to my doctor and my nurses Karim, Tanya Bobby I forgot the name of the other nurse, all of them were the best of the best to me & my family. Thank you Mrs Mary food attendance you were the best the food was always delicious❤️❤️
Don’t come here plain and simple. This is a prime example of the failing American medical system. The staff I have interacted with so far have been great but I have been waiting for almost 3 hours (writing this review as I sit here). It is almost 5am and there is almost no one in the lobby but for some reason they can’t see people at an acceptable rate. I would like to think they are doing the best they can but sadly it isn’t good enough. Please if you are experiencing an actual emergency DO NOT come here.
